Bible Studies

At Immanuel Community Church, we believe that growing in faith begins with deepening our understanding of God’s Word. We invite you to take part in Bible studies designed to help you know Scripture more fully and apply it to your daily life.

You can join individual or small group studies for personal growth and fellowship, or take part in thematic studies that explore specific topics and questions of faith. For those who want a deeper, structured approach, our systematic Bible studies walk through the whole counsel of God, building a strong foundation in His Word.

Whether you’re just beginning your journey with Scripture or seeking to go deeper, there’s a place for you to grow, learn, and be transformed by God’s truth.

Our Bible Study Programs

Studying God’s Word is the backbone of Christian faith and growth. At Immanuel Community Church, our Bible study programs are designed to strengthen your foundation, deepen your relationship with God, and equip you to live out and share your faith with others.

The Backbone of Our Faith — Romans 1–8

The book of Romans is like a diamond at the centre of Scripture and has long been the spiritual arsenal of believers in times of battle. In Romans 1–8, we study the heart of the Gospel—our salvation in Christ. Like the backbone of the human body, this section of Romans gives strength and stability. When you grasp its truth, your faith will stand unshaken.

The Power of Faith — The Four Gospels

The Gospels reveal the life and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. In them, we see the fullness of God revealed in the incarnate Son. Through this study, you will grow in a personal relationship with your Heavenly Father and experience the transforming power of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God.

Important Faith Principles — Romans 9–16

Romans 9–16 takes us deeper into Christian life and leadership. This study equips believers to handle doctrinal challenges and life’s practical issues with biblical wisdom. It also trains you to watch over and serve others, preparing you to grow as a spiritual leader who strengthens the faith of the community.

Prayer

Prayer is the lifeline of our faith and the heartbeat of the church. At Immanuel Community Church, we gather every Friday night at 6:45 PM for our weekly prayer meeting. This is a time to seek God’s presence together, intercede for one another, and lift up the needs of the church, community, and world.

Alongside our prayer gatherings, we also offer biblical teachings on prayer—learning how Scripture guides us to pray with faith, perseverance, and power. These studies equip believers to grow in intimacy with God and confidence in lifting up prayers that align with His will.

We are also blessed to collaborate with Elim Center International, a global Christian prayer ministry dedicated to being an oasis of healing and restoration for individuals, churches, and society (elimcenter.org). Through this partnership, we join in a worldwide movement of prayer that is transforming lives and communities.

Whether you are new to prayer or seeking to deepen your prayer life, we invite you to come, learn, and experience the power of God through prayer.

Outreach & Evangelism

Jesus calls us to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8). At Immanuel Community Church, we take this calling seriously by sharing the Gospel with those around us and serving our community with Christ’s love.

Through local outreach activities, we extend God’s care to neighbours, families, and individuals in need—whether through acts of service, community support, or compassionate presence. We also engage in evangelism initiatives, inviting people to encounter Jesus personally through the Word of God and the testimony of His people.

Our church provides training and opportunities to help every believer grow in confidence to share their faith, whether one-on-one, in small groups, or in wider community settings. Together, we aim to be salt and light, living out the hope of Christ in both word and deed.

We warmly invite you to join us in proclaiming the Good News and reaching out with the love of Christ—because the Gospel is not meant to be kept, but shared.

Church Planting

At Immanuel Presbyterian Church, we believe that the mission of the church extends beyond the walls of a single congregation. Following the Great Commission, we are committed to planting new churches and strengthening existing ones so that the Gospel may reach more people and communities across Australia.

We partner with churches and fellowships in different locations, supporting them through the early stages of planting, as well as by sharing resources, pastoral guidance, educational materials, and joint events. This spirit of collaboration allows pastors and congregations to enjoy rich fellowship in Christ, while gaining a broader vision of God’s kingdom work beyond their local setting.

Through these partnerships, each church is strengthened by the network of support, mutual service, and shared mission. Together, we strive to establish and solidify churches in many cities, with the hope that every person might come to know the saving name of Jesus Christ.

As the Apostle Paul wrote:
“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.” (1 Corinthians 3:6–7)

Know More

Media

Spreading the Good News of Jesus is not limited to preaching or teaching in person. In today’s digital age, God has given us powerful tools—social media, online platforms, and creative content—to share His Word and the mission of the church with people near and far.

Through social media evangelism, we seek to reach young people and those beyond our immediate community—even beyond Sydney—using platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. By creating engaging content such as artwork, short videos, testimonies, personal reflections, and Bible-based encouragements, we can bring the message of Jesus to places where people spend their daily time online.

This ministry is not only about communication but also about connection—strengthening and edifying the body of Christ while opening doors for many to encounter the Gospel for the first time.

If you have gifts in art, writing, design, photography, or digital media, you can play a part in building this bridge between the timeless truth of Scripture and the digital world. Together, we can use today’s tools to bring tomorrow’s generation closer to Christ.

Music

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” (Psalm 150:6)

The Music Ministry at Immanuel Presbyterian Church is more than singing and playing—it is worship, fellowship, and evangelism. We are dedicated to offering music that glorifies God, comforts His people, and proclaims the Gospel to those who have yet to hear it.

Worship through music begins 15 minutes before every Sunday and Wednesday service, preparing our hearts to meet God together. But music also goes beyond the church walls—through street praise, outdoor gatherings, and music evangelism, we use our gifts to reach people where they are, sharing the love of Christ in creative and powerful ways.

Music Ministry is also a fellowship. It gathers musicians who share the same faith and passion, encouraging one another and serving God through their talents. Together we:

  • Lead worship that honours God and uplifts His people.
  • Use music as evangelism—sharing Christ through praise in public spaces.
  • Build fellowship through a shared passion for worship.
  • Support one another as musicians, believers, and servants of Christ.

We are blessed to cooperate with Jubilee World (jubileeworld.org), a global Christian music ministry dedicated to training, raising, and sending musicians who use their gifts for God’s kingdom. Through this partnership, we join a worldwide vision of equipping Christians with talent and passion in music and worship to impact lives for Christ.

If you have musical gifts and a heart for God, we invite you to join our worship team. You’ll be welcomed through an audition and vision-sharing session, where you can learn more about the ministry and how God can use your talents for His glory.
