Church Membership

At Immanuel Community Church, we recognise the importance of formal membership as a way to show our commitment to Jesus Christ, who “loved the church and gave himself up for her” (Ephesians 5:25).

All believers are part of the body of Christ, and local church membership is a public way to acknowledge this truth. As members of His household (Ephesians 2:19), we each have a role to play, and the church becomes strong when every member participates fully (1 Corinthians 12:20).

Our members are encouraged to live out and share the Gospel wherever God places them. In Sydney’s multicultural context, we aim to be faithful stewards of God’s house and faithful witnesses of His love and truth.
